I got a radio… I got a radio!!! (Yay!)
Didn’t really expect it, but got a new 2M/70CM HT (“walkie talkie”) and it’s impressive! SO MANY FEATURES! I even get the bonus of being able to listen (that means can’t transmit) to the Air Bands and even some Shortwave (if I connect a different antenna).
As a bonus, I got a Signal Stuff “Signal Stick” antenna to replace the stock “rubber duck” that came with the radio. Saw several reviews including several videos from Josh over at Ham Radio Crash Course on YouTube.
Need to pick up a programming cable and also test how my Signal Stick works with the magnetic mount on the car. Since I’ll be testing this on I-95… well, we’ll see!
