A New Antenna and a Few Ideas

I got an Ultralight 40-6M Off Center Multi-Band from N9SAB via eBay. I plan on using it as an NVIS solution between points north to Long Island and south to Northern Virginia. I was smart enough to get an ultralight collapsable mast from Gigaparts – it’s an Explorer POTA20 Portable Handheld 20 ft Telescopic Carbon Fiber POTA Mast and the combination is hard to beat (and fits in my Eberlestock pack).

Hopefully this coming Labor Day weekend while visiting my sons on Long Island (shout out to the Long Island CW Club), I’ll be able to do a POTA Activation at the Fire Island National Seashore at Smith’s Point.
