Beginner’s Luck

Beginner’s Luck

A few weeks ago, I took both the Technician and General Amateur Radio Exams and passed! Now, it’s time to do two very important things:

One, gain the knowledge and experience needed to earn the right to be called a General Class Amateur Radio Operator, and

Two, be able to help others learn through my experience, foul-ups and the contacts I have made and will make over a lifetime of Ham Radio.

Over the next several weeks I’ll be discussing my journey and those who have helped me along. I’ll also explain my own learning process; hopefully it helps you get your own Technician, General and eventually, Amateur Extra License! (By the way… if you’re seeing this from outside the USA, I’m very happy to see you here and I won’t forget to add content that isn’t always “USA specific! In fact, I am already a follower on social media of a Ham in Europe and one in Canada!)

As they said in the final episode of the TV show, “Star Trek: Voyager,” “To the Journey!”
